STANBERRY — Tri-County Health Department is trying to assemble a list of residents who require electricity to power home medical equipment during power outages.

According to the news release, during storms in June Tri-County asked Medicare for a list of resident with medical devices at home. It took a month to get the list and no phone numbers were included.

Administrator Teresa McDonald says the list is voluntary and will be shared only with first responders during a natural disaster. Citizens of Dekalb, Gentry and Worth counties are asked to call or text the health department.
